The new academic year has begun with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm! Every child enjoys that particular class only once and so it is special for him/her. To nurture the newness in that year is our responsibility.
The beginning of the New Academic Year is a good time to reflect on the year past and to make a new start! Looking at the current needs of students, we have started with a few new projects for this year.
The most favourite time of students is the recess! To make this time fruitful, we have planned Inter-class matches and Music activities during break time. These activities ensure maximum participation from students, channelizes their energy and helps in better bonding with each other. Regular time out enhances the efficiency and quality of work. Keeping this in mind, we have planned another short break for our students. To make it more exciting we have named it as I-Connect (for secondary) and Selfie Break (for primary). This free time helps students to be themselves and acts as the refreshing recharge for the rest of the day.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. We too can make a difference to ourselves, others and nature by doing very small actions. To experience this, we have the ‘Blissful Acts Board’ with a few simple actions mentioned on it. Students choose one action for themselves to follow each day. These small actions give them a sense of satisfaction and contribute effectively in making their environment a better place!
School life is not about being the best, but it’s about being better than yesterday! To cope with various challenges at every stage we need to be mentally stable. Sitting quietly helps us to think from all angles, analyze the situation and be prepared to be better and better each day. And to form the habit to reflect, review and be ready, we have introduced Meditating Monday and Thoughtful Thursday. Students experience five minutes of silent time while beginning their week on Monday. They use this meditation time to plan their week and set targets for themselves. To think and review the plans, students experience five minutes of silent time again on Thursday before going home. Meditation is a habit and helps to get organized and focussed in our thoughts and actions. We mean it when we say, “We are the teachers and we are the learners!” We too are living our childhood and learning with each new batch of our students!
Best wishes for the new academic year!
