The PTA holds 4 meetings in the year. Based on the agenda and discussion the following points have been noted:
- Parents have expressed their appreciation for the way online classes are being conducted by the school. They felt gratitude for the teachers who have taken so much trouble to make classes interesting for children by using a variety of innovative methods.
- The PTA fee was waived this year to ease the burden on parents.
- New curriculum was introduced for grades 1-8 by Cambridge International, and the school undertook an intensive training for teachers to deliver the new curriculum effectively. The co-curricular subjects of Arts, Music, PE and digital literacy were revamped and the new syllabus has many interesting features for students to be engaged and active learners.
- Parents felt the school has been very considerate to those students who were facing difficulty and that teachers have been accessible.
- Parents felt the IT training provided for parents were both useful and well conducted.
- The school has been certified for ISO 21001:2018 and all the members were very proud and impressed that the school managed this during the lockdown phase.
-
School results:
- Excellent IGCSE results with the School Toppers, Meet Jain and Om Ware scoring 95%. Grade 10 students appeared for their exams and scored good grades in each subject.
- 100% SSC result with the School Topper, Divya Chetan Shah scoring 97.2% and 36 students scoring more than 90% and above. School had to send their Std. 9 and 10 marks as the examination was cancelled.
- Questions regarding school opening: the school will follow instructions provided by various authorities in the best interest of the students. All SOPs are being followed, and parents felt the school was doing everything.
- Distribution of curricular material was well planned and helps the students to study at home. The procurement of some books for grade 2 and 5 posed a problem for parents and the school promised to help resolve the issue by talking to the vendor. The Heads will make arrangements to send e-copies and guide teachers to conduct classes so that student learning is not affected.
- Online activities and competitions for students were appreciated, such as Independence Day, Mentor’s Day, Children’s Day, International days, Teachers Day, and other Student Council activities.
- Webinars for parents were conducted which helped parents manage themselves and children during days of home confinement. The activities were fun and well planned by the school, reducing stress of the pandemic for the family.
- School opening for classes 8-10th was smooth. Few parents have not consented to send their child, and therefore, hybrid classes are being conducted. The school has provided additional state-of-the-art equipment for each class (digipad, digipen, webcam, wireless keyboard etc) so that teachers are able to conduct these classes successfully. Intensive training was provided by IT professionals and teachers have adjusted to the new technology very quickly.
